CoMMunity
Moxie Moms CoMMunity is founded and located in Marquette, MI. While many of our in-person events take place locally, our mission extends far beyond—serving loss mothers, families, and those who love and support them across the Upper Peninsula and beyond.
We believe in the power of community. Experiencing pregnancy and infant loss is an unimaginable journey, one that no one should have to walk alone. No matter how early or late your loss was, your grief is valid, and your baby is remembered here. At Moxie Moms, we are dedicated to fostering a space where loss families can find connection, comfort, and understanding. Grief can feel isolating, but through shared experiences and compassionate support, we can walk this path together—hand in hand.
Every journey is different, and however you show up, you are welcome here. Some of our moms and families come and simply listen, others feel open to share. Sometimes we cry, sometimes we laugh. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and no matter where you are in your loss journey, you belong.
Our events are designed to create opportunities for healing, remembrance, and togetherness. Some of our gatherings are one-time offerings, while others have become cherished annual traditions. Whether in-person or virtual, each event is a testament to the strength and resilience of the loss community.
Below, you’ll find a glimpse into upcoming events and annual events we have hosted that continue to be an important part of our mission. We are honored to serve this community, providing support and a sense of belonging to those navigating life after loss.
Upcoming events.
We host a variety of gatherings, primarily in Marquette, with some events in Gladstone and Escanaba. Whether you’re looking for a safe space to share, opportunities to honor your little one, or simply to connect with others who understand, you are always welcome here.

Memorial Garden
-
We are proud to announce the grand opening of our new Moxie Moms Memorial Garden in Marquette MI. This is a sacred space dedicated to honoring the lives of babies lost during pregnancy and offering comfort to the families who carry their memories.
With the support of the Lake Superior Community Partnership, we celebrated this meaningful milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the garden’s location on the corner of 5th and Spring Street.
The Memorial Garden symbolizes a collective journey of healing, remembrance, and hope. It stands as a testament to the strength of our community and the enduring love we hold for our little ones gone too soon.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life—especially Ashley Lucas and her mom, Christina Coffman. Your dedication and love made this space possible, and we are so grateful.
This garden is open to all who seek a quiet place to reflect, remember, and connect.

We’re incredibly grateful to HOTplate Pottery & Clayworks for graciously hosting us and creating such a welcoming space. A special thank you also goes to Third Street Bagel for donating delicious bagels and cream cheese that added warmth to the morning.
Events like this remind us of the power of community—of holding space for one another and finding healing together.
