About ResilieNt
As birth workers, we are trained to hold space for others. We are taught to hold in emotions, pain, and fear—all while holding our patients’ hands. Sometimes, we hold their hands through the hardest moments of their lives.
But at ResilieNt, we ask: Who is holding space for us?
As the medical field becomes increasingly driven by for-profit interests, specialized training and support for those caring for families experiencing loss have largely disappeared. Birth workers are often left to navigate the traumatic stresses of their work alone.
Nurse burnout rates are high, with many leaving the profession due to secondary traumatic stress, lack of support, limited resources, and inadequate training. While this issue is complex, change is possible. We can create a birth work culture where support is not an afterthought—where we hold space for each other.
This is where ResilieNt stands.
We are here for you. To help you learn how to hold space for yourself and your colleagues.
Because healing begins when we, too, are cared for.
ResilieNt was founded to equip you not only with the tools to support families through perinatal loss but also with the support you need for yourself.
Together, we build more resilience—in you, your facility, and your community.
They hold their babies but for a moment. The keepsakes we create will be with them for a lifetime.
ReslieNt recognizes many facilities no longer fund bereavement supplies. We also recognize the emotional stress this causes for care teams. Not having supplies to create keepsakes for families can cause additional strain in birth workers. Whether these items be molds, footprints, blankets or teddy bears, items that birth workers create stay with families forever. These tangible items are all they have to hold. If your facility doesn’t provide them we can help. MoxieMoms is currently only able to service UP hospitals at this time.
